POLICE DISCRIMINATION & RACIAL PROFILING



Well firstly the good news. I'm not talking today about the Waterloo Regional Police. Today's posting is about the Thunder Bay police and is in regards to the following article in today's Waterloo Region Record titled "Police probe of Indigenous man's death ruled shoddy". Apparently a so called "investigation" took place after an indigenous man was found floating in a nearby river. The "investigation" lacked in several ways including no video, no photographs and no measurements of the scene. Other failures included police not contacting the person last known to be in contact with the victim. Police also didn't know that the victim's debit card was used after his death. Hmm that would be a clur for me that something could be amiss.

Quoting the chief (Robin McGinnis) of the Rainy River First Nation "The degree of incompetence and indifference to the lives of First Nations is mind-boggling". The provincial Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OPIRD) have stated "the deficiencies in the investigation ...support an allegation of neglect of duty".

It seems that police procedures and standards are somewhat elastic depending upon who died, the circumstances thereof and who may have done it. Clearly more oversight is needed of the investigations being done by police forces in Ontario. This is somewhat in line with the allegations of Kelly Donovan in regards to internal investigations done by our very own Waterloo Regional Police Service.

    Natives been fighting terrorizm since 1492 .And deserve to be named a distinct society before the French bloc Quebec.Natives in Canada deserve to have a native history month before any blacks as the natives were clearly slaughtered thats genocide when foreigners came and started stealing there land and murdering discrimination against natives is still going on .If Canada's going to have a black history month,then clearly we needed to have a native history month first.Or our governments insulting and discriminating against natives.The investigations into natives being murdered stinks like it was a officer who murdered him and sees no point to investigate the scene. Sloppy investigations are usually done when police comitted the murder as we seen it happening . Obviously there has to be a inquiry into the investigation aswell as reinvestigated and look at the ATM picture be any smart police officers first clue.It seems when it comes to police commiting crimes officers can only file a complaint to there superior instead of arrest the officer at gun point and tazer if nessisary after all officers are armed so take no chances .Aswell any officer commiting a violent assault on a citizen or there wife shouldn't be allowed to carry a fire arm till charge us cleared and if guilty should be banned from possessing a fire arm.Sad police think there above the law.But it's far sadder to see any citizen murdered with no investigation like they don't care or are hiding the true killer.In ontario one doesn't have a right to life or defend onse self in a home invasion if you accidently kill a armed masked home invader in self defence you go to jail immediately till sentencing aswell as instantly labeled a murdererand guilty.Unless you're a officer that is.Or you live in Alberta if a native trespasses you can shoot him in back of the head as they try to flee for there lives.Dont make sence when Canada says EVERY CANADAIN has EQUAL RIGHTS aswell The right to life .Here in Ontario police only have a right to life when it comes to shooting a criminal in self defence.Any one else would be labeled a murderer. That's not equal rights.I think the reserve police should ask rcmp to help investigate being the police failed to contain crime scene and investigate the murder.Either the native wasn't liked or known to officers was sad to read the officers didn't notify his wife and family totally disgraceful and not exceptable in any murder.Canada has a police force who thinks there above the law and untouchable just the way criminals think.But the scariest part is police have a higher chance of getting away with murder.

    Police officer while off duty sexually assaults a lady and it took police 6 months to officially charge him.suspended with pay.?Shouldnt he be fired with out pay.Im guessing he gets a year off with pay till proven guilty.tThen what if found guilty hese internally disaplined and gets to keep his job.No wonder the kitchener police cheif still has a job.few years ago a case of a officer giving hells angels information who also got a vacation with pay till found guilty and then was fired.a hamilton guns and gangs officer is in hot water over being involved in dealing drugs to gangs and numerous other charges 16 in total.Sure there in unions so they can receive pay till allegations or charges can have there day in court.Muust be nice to be above the law a citizen would been fired and removed from public servant jobs,aswell as looking for a new job.The kitchener police force clearly protects officers who are sexual offenders.The majority are still working for the force and have yet to be charged.At some point the police cheif needs to put his foot down and remove these sexual offenders.Instead of keeping them in the force he needs to remove them with pay if found guilty fire them.But no the cheif goes in denial and keeps the sexual offenders on the force in active duty.he needs to find a new job too.There are senior officers who can do a better job aswell and have zero tolerance towards officers commitiing a sexual offence aswell as criminal offence.Maybe then officers will think twice about comitting criminal offence that would be a career changer ,instead of saying worse can happen is get payed Holliday and get to keep there job ,no wonder there's so many criminals working in our police forces.I can only say it's a start getting the rookie charged for commiting a sexual offence Now what is he going to do about the senior officers and detectives took 6 months for the rookie to be arrested but it's been years others on the force have been running loose comitting sexual offence like kids in a Candy store and yet to be publicly charged.Thats disgusting the public aswell as honest officers.There should be a vote of confidence to have the police cheif removed for failing to protect the public ,fellow officers,aswell as loosing public trust in the forces .He talks about paying people to give him input for a job hese no idea how to do when human rights laws would solve his questions aswell as reading complaints from officers and public would be a common sence good start.Are there going to be more officers charged.You can bank on it...Aswell as more embarrassing lawsuits cause the Chiefs incompatence. We now have professional criminals working on his police force and as springs coming I'm sure there's a few officers hoping to get a year off with pay.While they should do a pretrial and if enough evidence for a guilty verdict fire them no pay.
